UPDATE: Yahoo breach exposes data of all of its 3 billion users

by

Earlier this week, Yahoo’s parent company, Oath, disclosed new information regarding the 2013 security breach stating that all 3 billion users were affected by the breach, despite a 2016 report of only 1 billion.

If you have ever had a Yahoo, or Yahoo-owned service account, you should change passwords, security questions and answers used for your Yahoo account and accounts where you may have used the same or similar credentials immediately.

From a password perspective, remember that you should never re-use the same password in more than one location or service. In this way you will limit the amound of potential damage that can be caused by a third party losing your data.
