Twitter users urged to change password
Twitter has discovered a bug in it’s system that resulted in user passwords being stored in plain text on an internal system – whilst no data breach has been reported, the company is urging it’s 336 million users to change their passwords as a precaution.
It’s worth noting that any users who use the same password on other services should update all relevant services as well.
Good security practice is to use a password manager which generates long random unique passwords for every service you use, and also enable two factor authentication.
