Having provided VoIP telcoms to UCR consultants’ telesales team since July 2010 we are pleased that they chose Globe2 to help them move to newer, bigger premises with an expanded sales team and upgraded broadband provision.

Because our telecoms services can be tailored according to our clients needs we are able to grow with them and provide the appropriate level of service provision for their needs at any given time.

In this case we have been able to provide three broadband connections, one for data use and two for VoIP calls; each operator has their own direct dial number and calls coming into the general sales channel are routed to all available operators to ensure the quickest response to incoming sales enquiries.

The system comes with a centralised management console so that incoming and outgoing calls and voicemails can be monitored and call recording is mandatory to ensure no verbal contracts are missed. In addition call data can be exported for use in proprietory applications.

Moving a site to a new domain involves a number of steps to ensure continuity for visitors and search engines, but WordPress sites offer up additional challenges due to the way they are setup to work on a specific domain.

When the Homeworking Alliance outgrew their name and wanted to rebrand to the Homeworking and Small Business Alliance it involved moving their WordPress and Buddypress powered social network site from www.homeworkingalliance.co.uk to www.hsba.biz.

As well as multiple logins the site had multiple blogs with various contributors.

When we made the move we had to ensure that the new site was displaying correctly before directing visitors from the old domain to the new; the time between getting the new site up and running and the redirect in place had to be as short as possible to avoid new additions to the old site which would then be lost.

The result

We made the successful transfer and quickly put in place a permanent redirect, so any visitors typing in the old domain would be seemlessly transferred to the new domain without needing to do anything. Because we were able to make the switch quickly there was no loss of data.

Contact us

If you are looking to transfer a website from one domain or host to another, whether it be WordPress or custom built, and you’d like guidance or help on how to do it and how to ensure no loss of search engine ranking as a result, please contact us

A call recording solution case study : NPM Solutions

The client

Never Pay More Solutions specialises in working with businesses to ensure they have the cheapest ultility contract available.

The job spec

A regulatory requirement of the market in which the client operates is that all conversations with customers are recorded and stored for six years. Our client needed a telecoms solution where each operator had their own direct line for making and receiving calls, and that every conversation made was automatically recorded.

The solution

Call recording is now commonplace with companies who take verbal contracts but they can be a major headache, with many of the solutions available having significant drawbacks:

you can attach a device to a phone, but you need one for every phone you use

you may also have to remember to press a button to record, if you don’t then you have to call the client back

you can have a local PBX and record all calls, but a PBX is costly to install and requires maintenance

We were able to provide individual lines to each operator and enable full voice recording on both incoming and outgoing calls. This is adjustable by extension and can be turned on and off as required.

All recordings are centrally stored by default for 14 days on our servers. Whilst we can provide the facility to store recordings indefinitely the client chose instead to have FTP access to recordings and download them for local storage.

In addition we were able to provide cost effective call packs to minimise the overall cost of the system, which is an ideal solution for business with heavy telephone usage.

The result

“An essential part of our business is a requirement for full voice recording for verbal contracts – Globe2 make this extremely easy and the cost of our calls are also very competitive – I can’t recommend Globe2 highly enough!”

Ahmed Hajat

Director, NVP Solutions

www.neverpaymore.co.uk

Contact us

If you need full recording for your company contact us to find out how we can help, we are able to provide a centralised system that records all calls and is not reliant on individual operators having to remember to record. Our call costs are also extremely competitive and we aim to cut a company’s telecom bill by up to 50%

A WordPress social network case study : Homeworking Alliance

The client

The Homeworking Alliance is a networking group for homeworkers and small businesses. Set up as a fee-paying organisation in March 2011 the Alliance has grown quickly from one group meeting once a month in Market Harbrorough to now (just over four months later) holding meetings in Lutterworth, Kettering, Hinckley and Northampton, in additon to the original Market Harborough venue.

The job spec

The client wanted a website to promote the group as a whole but also as a vehicle for promoting the profile of individual members and acting as a medium for communication between members.

The solution

We regsistered the homeworking alliance domains on behalf of the client and looked into using WordPress as a means of creating an economical but professional and effective website. By using a combination of WordPress, Buddypress and BBPress we have been able to create a site which:

- has individual member logins and profile pages

- has a forum for members use

- has a list of group pages which correspond to the group meetings held and which display information relevant to the group

- has a number of blog pages, some of which are restricted to management and others which are open to all members

The result

The Homeworking Alliance website is a fully functional social network which continues to evolve with the group.

A startup telesales office case study: Impact Branding Agency

The client

The Impact Branding Agency is a specialised sports sponsorship and advertising agency.

The job spec

At the time of contact the Agency was a startup company and they needed everything sorting – telecoms, Internet and website. As an advertising agency they had a number of sales staff and were heavily dependent on the telephone, as a result they wanted a system that was reliable and which also kept costs to a minimum.

Once we got the go-ahead time was of the essence, they had the office space and needed it setting up as quickly as possible.

The solution

We were able to provide them with a date for when the Internet connection would be up and running, and ensured that we had the phones and centrally managed telephone lines ready for the same day. Once the Internet was in place we were able to setup all the phones on the same day and they were then operational.

To keep costs to a minimum we offer bulk call minutes which are ideal for telesales companies.

As the business has grown we have had numerous occasions where the client has increased their team and needed additional telecoms infrastructure – our system is flexible and able to meet the demands of growing businesses.

The result

“The Globe 2 system allows us complete flexibility, we are able to decrease and increase their service provision to us, at any time, and without any problem. Their customer service is prompt and reliable, and overall we are delighted.”

A unified telecommunications case study : Selfcateringhols

The client

Selfcateringhols is an established online portal handling bookings for holiday accommodation in the UK, Europe and further afield.

The job spec

With a global client and supplier base and a geographically diverse workforce the company was looking for the best way to handle incoming and outgoing calls whilst keeping cost to a minimum.

The solution

The client was able to chose a telephone number for customers and suppliers to call – they chose an 01234 number, which is for the Bedord area, because it was easy to remember.

Each member of the team was supplied with a telephone – this meant sending phones to Spain, the United States, South Africa and also the UK.

INCOMING CALLS

We setup a customer switchboard, so that customers could select if they were an owner needing help with the property listing, or a customer wanting to book, with calls routed to the appropriate phones.

For the main sales channel the client wanted all calls to go to their primary sales operator; if the phone was not answered within a certain period of time the call was then routed so that all available sales phones started ringing simultaneously. If the calls was still not answered the call went to voicemail, with all sales rep’s sent an email with the voicemail as an attachment.

Each phone had it’s own extension, so a sales rep could give a customer their extension to ensure that the client could contact them directly and not have to speak to another rep with their enquiry. In addition every rep had their individual voicemail inbox.

OUTGOING CALLS

Each of the client’s sales rep’s had a list of enquiries to work to and this involved calling suppliers and also customers worldwide – from a number of different locations.

Our system meant that every phone would display the same 01234 number when dialing out, regardless of location, whether they were in the UK, Spain or the US. This ensured customers had one central point of contact.

INTERNAL CALLS

All internal calls are free, so if you needed a two hour teleconference call with colleagues in another country cost was not a factor.

CALL MANAGEMENT

With so many people in diverse locations making calls it was important for the central management to be able to see what was going on – with our online interface we are able to offer near real-time reporting of calls in and out and also summary information of the most prolific callers, the most expensive numbers dialed etc.

The result

“Switching to Globe2 means we can now route incoming calls to the next available operator seamlessly – it’s a business grade telecoms system for less than we imagined possible.”

A call forwarding case study : Workshacks

The client

Workshacks is a company specialising in the creation of wooden structures for the garden which can be suitably fitted out as an office or additional room for the house.

Owner Guy Giffard-Tiney runs Workshacks from home and faced the same problem that many homeworkers face – he wanted to give clients a landline telephone number to call which was only associated with his business. To cater for this he had a second telephone line installed from his existing telecoms provider.

The job spec

When we were asked to review his setup it was based primarily on cost: he had opted for an 0845 number on the basis that his company can offer their services nationwide, but he was being charged in effect for TWO lines, one to handle the calls and one for the 0845 number.

The solution

For a small initial charge we were able to transfer his 0845 number into our system to ensure continuity to his brand and so that any promotional material did not need to be re-printed with a new number.

The client decided that the best solution for him was simply to forward calls onto his other line, this meant no additional phone hardware was required and it kept his setup costs to a minimum.

The client was notified in advance of the day of the transfer, and on the day the line switched over with minimal downtime.

The result
